PGA of America Selects
V1 Golf
The company’s most recent product development,
V1 Golf, has been officially endorsed by the PGA of
America and is used exclusively at the PGA Learning
Center in
Port St. Lucie, Florida.
V1 Golf now makes available
to recreational golfers the same video analysis technology
tour players have
been
using for years.
The software enables golfers to view their swing simultaneously
from two different angles, compare their swing to a
professional, or review improvements against previous
footage.
With the ability to freeze the replay and step
through frame-by-frame golfers can analyze their swing
in great
detail allowing them to identify faults simply and
precisely on their own computer.
V1 Golf incorporates
a coaching system to further assist golfers identify
the underlying problems with their
swing and prescribe corrective drills to address these
faults.
The product also offers in-depth educational and instruction
content explaining the fundamental laws causing a particular
ball flight, the shape of the golf swing, and the dynamics
of a model golf swing.
A key component of V1 Golf’s
learning effectiveness is the Internet Golf Academy
(www.internetgolfacademy.com). Now
golfers can receive personalized instruction from PGA
professionals via the Internet anytime, anywhere. The
golfer simply uploads their swing to the Internet Golf
Academy website where the coach they select provides
analysis using a streaming video lesson with on-screen
references and voice-over to explain the problem.
Instructors
on the Internet Golf Academy include the Harmons, David
Leadbetter, Rick Smith, Dr Jim Suttie,
and Jim Flick.
As part of its mission to “grow
the game of golf by making it fun while making world
class golf accessible
to everyone”, the PGA of America developed the
PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
In addition
to providing championship golfing facilities, the PGA
Golf Club incorporates PGA Village, (www.pgavillage.com)
a residential community where golfers can purchase
exclusive real estate. Complimenting PGA Village is
the PGA Learning
Center where golfers of all ability can experience
the ultimate in golf instruction and practice facilities.
Having developed the best playing, practice, and learning
facilities in the world, the PGA of America see V1
Golf as the perfect solution to complete the golfing
