JEEP KING OF THE MOUNTAIN NASTAR PARTNERS WITH INTERACTIVE FRONTIERS TO OFFER ONLINE COACHING TOOLS

Former World Cup Champion, AJ Kitt, could become your personal coach

STAMFORD, Conn.,  January 2004   — Jeep King of the Mountain NASTAR, the nation's largest recreational ski and snowboard racing program, has partnered with Interactive Frontiers to offer recreational racers online coaching from top NASTAR instructors including former World Cup Champion AJ Kitt.

Interactive Frontier’s V1 Digital Coaching Software is the technology underlying the program. The software is the most technologically advanced, yet simple to use sport analysis software available to professional and recreational athletes and instructors. Using video from a digital camera, users have the ability to send a video clip of their Jeep King of the Mountain NASTAR race to the V1 web site to be analyzed by a certified NASTAR coach. Coaches are then able analyze and critique technique using powerful tools including audio comments, drawings, overlays, multiple exposure and time-lapse images. The analysis is then posted to the user’s locker at v1sports.com to view from the comfort of their computer. The software is available for purchase by clicking on the race instruction icon at nastar.com. For additional information visit nastar.com or v1sports.com.

Interactive Frontiers is a software development and systems integration company specializing in digital video products and Internet applications. Founded in November 1995, Interactive Frontiers specializes in the development and deployment of digital technologies that enhance human ability to observe and analyze rapid motions too fast to be seen with the human eye. Last season marked one of the most successful seasons in the program’s 35-year history as over 93,000 winter sports enthusiasts ran through the NASTAR gates at 121 resorts nationwide, highlighted by an incredible season-ending National Championships at Park City Mountain Resort that brought together 1,011 competitors in search of National Titles. Sponsors of Jeep King of the Mountain NASTAR include Jeepâ, SKI Magazine, Accutron, Gerry, Canon, Atomic, Boeri, Bolle and Goode.
